Christmas In Ireland

The Cub Scout Pack Meeting for December always does Christmas Around the World. This year
Bill is leading Ethan's Webelos Den, he and Ethan chose Ireland as the country to represent at the meeting. Homeschooling really helps in this type of project! Even with a busy week getting ready for the Santa Party we were able to do on-line research for Irish Christmas traditions. Father and son had a fun time working together (Bill's Irish passion didn't hurt either!). They made a really neat poster which Lindy was recruited to do the glitter since she is our glue and glitter expert :) . Learning about the main symbols of holly and burning a candle in the window, they also set up a laden table. They served milk and cinnamon raisin bread to the scouts just as the Irish do for Christmas travelers. Having an Irish Flag to display helped make it one of the best displays and received many compliments.
