A Surprise Stop in Savannah!

Paige and Lindy

On the way home from Florida we drive right through Savannah, Georgia, the home of Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low. The girls and I have been reading a biography on Juliette for Lindy to do a poster presentation on so this seemed like the perfect time to stop for a visit. I didn't tell them where we were going until we drove past the house looking for a place to park. It was so fun to surprise them and surprised they were!

Everyone enjoyed the tour of the house. Paige, who is the shyest child in our family, raised her hand in a very full tour to answer the question Juliette's nickname being Daisy. Daisy loved to do sculptures and paint and the home was full of her art work. It was so neat to see everything come together that they had read about.

This year of Brownies has been a great time for them. They have a wonderful group of girls that they just love having meetings with so this was a perfect time to make the stop in Savannah.

This is the house in the background, a beautiful Georgian home with Victorian decor.
