Fall Family Fun!

As I'm getting caught up, I'm finding cute pictures from the entire month that I haven't done anything with. Our cousins came into town the middle of October to spend a low key weekend with us. The kids played morning until the wee hours of the night, late night sleep overs were tons of fun!
We took a quick trip over to Dill's to do the corn maze and get little pumpkins. The kids had a great time together. Hard to believe that Lindy was sick. I didn't realize how bad until we got home and she fell apart and could not swallow - at all. She wound up hours later at urgent care with horrible strep. She was so sick! She kept it together to be with her cousins. Surprisingly, no one else got strep or anything else!

Still Here!

I love the sun shining down on Ethan running up the hill.

We're still here! I haven't posted for a while. We are getting ready for our holiday festivities and all the traditions that come along with that. Here are some pictures from our afternoon at the park collecting leaves for a decorating project we are working on.

Halloween '09

We were a spooky bunch last night. Kyle had a scary mask that finished off our group, but I had to see his face for our pictures. They all had a great time trick or treating with their neighbor friends, Kyle and Ethan called it a night before the girls. Erin could have kept on going! Kyle weighed in at 4 1/2 pounds of candy! I know that Erin raked in as much as Kyle so we have some serious candy here. Paige and Lindy's stash has dwindled a bit since they had to weed out quite a bit due to their spacers being in place. They took it really well!
Sorry for the delay Whitney! We did you miss you and BJ, not quite the same without you guys here. I know the little skeleton missed BJ!

Ethan loves to be scary. He had 3 costumes he put together and didn't decide until an hour before. I think he did a pretty good job!

Paige changed from her princess costume to this skeleton right before Trick or Treat. I think she really wanted in on the scary stuff!

Erin had to have a little Ethan's blood face paint.

Lindy busy sorting candy. She had such a good time with her sisters and friends.

A Day at the Park

With the beautiful weather last week we skipped school one afternoon and headed to Slate Run for a walk and some playground time. We had the place to ourselves and it was very relaxing! Here a few pictures from our fall day.

Fall is Here

Fall is a favorite season for many around here, Bill is at the top of the list. Apple picking and going to the pumpkin patch are his favorite fall activities. We all love it because of his homemade applesauce! We ventured out last weekend I am just really behind in getting my pictures up here. My California pictures will be ready soon for those waiting to see them.

I remember when he was 2 and sitting in the apple trees. He is so big now!

Erin spent a long time looking for a clean pumpkin she was not interested in taking home one covered in dirt!

Catching Up on Thanksgiving

Since I am just starting this whole blog thing I wanted to put the start of our holiday season in. Our Thanksgiving was probably the best yet! We all pitched in and cooked. Bill and I spent the day working side by side on all of our special side dishes. Erin and Paige made the corn souffle, Kyle made his traditional apple pie, Lindy helped Bill make bread, and Ethan worked on the Turkey prep with Bill.
Our annual tradition of giving everyone an ornament for their Christmas tree was a huge hit this year! The girls make dough ornaments of everyone's faces down to hair and eye color. We then painted them and coated them in modge podge, hot glued a ribbon and used them as extra place cards.
Our tables were beautiful! The desserts were wonderful! Another memory filled day!

Our dough ornaments.

The kids put themselves in the dining room with
Whitney and BJ. Kyle was promoted to the adult
table!

Aunt Gretchen proudly wears her jingle bell
earrings that the girls made. They were busting
to give their gifts as soon as people walked in
the door.

A post meal reading session, these 3 really are
a lot alike!
