I have never made these or any other type of nuts but these turned out great! They were GONE after the Santa party so Paige and I made another batch and doubled it to snack on during Christmas. The recipe came from a holiday cookie magazine that finding it again is more challenging than just committing it to memory, it's that easy and good!
- 2 Cups Pecans halves
- 2 Tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup (I used real syrup)
- Melt butter in skillet. Add brown sugar and syrup, mix and cook until bubbly, stir constantly.
- Add pecans and cook 2-3 minutes so that the pecans are coated.
- Spread onto parchment lined cookie sheet.
- Bake 6-8 minutes at 350.
- Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Enjoy! We bagged some and tied with ribbon.
