Cousins

If you can't tell I am having some serious issues keeping up here on the blog. I am trying with the beginning of the school year to get on track and stay caught up! I know I have an uncle in California who is probably suffering picture withdrawl and I am so sorry!!
Here are some pictures from our day in Chicago with our cousins. The kids had such a great time hanging out with Emma and Alec. They took us to a great park, Cantingy, which is the estate of Robert McCormick former Chicago Tribune owner. There is an entire military museum dedicated to the First Division. Little Alec was so excited to share this with Kyle. Little did he know that it would take Kyle over two hours to go through and look at everything. He was really patient waiting to show Kyle his favorite things but even I had to move ahead. Kyle and Bill look and read everything and apparently I have the attention of a six year old as well! So Alec and I hit the gardens while waiting on the others to finish the tour of the McCormick home. It was such a beautiful day and I got some great pictures of all the kids. Here are just a few. I know that Mimi will be pleased with the ones of all her grandchildren together!

The park has all kinds of tanks that kids can climb on and explore. Kyle was definitely a kid that afternoon!

The inside of the muesem was so cool. There were areas that looked just like the town in France that was bombed in WWI. There were also rooms that showed what it was like in the trenches, WWII, Battle of the Bulge, and Vietnam. Very realistic.
These girls are beautiful! What fun they have had together this summer. We are looking forward to a visit from Emma this fall.

We are looking forward to going back to Chicago, hopefully next summer!

I bet everyone had so much fun that entire week but it all had to have been exhausting!! What a nice day for the park, cute pics!

It's not just "picture withdrawal" but the storylines with each posting as well!

It looks like some of these are showing up "out of order" (which is probably the correct order) 'cause I check here everyday, and didn't see this post until just now!
