Yesterday the Brownies went to see our very own ballerina, Lily, dance in the Nutcracker. Dressed up and giggling, we left with flowers and cards for both Lily and her big sis Julie who was also performing.
Lily has been dancing with the Columbus Youth Ballet for a couple of years and was very excited to be involved in such a huge production. She kept us on our toes looking for her throughout the show. She was disguised as a boy for the party scene and she did a great job, I could still spot her smile even with the wig! The mice costume was a little more tricky, I couldn't figure that one out. Her last scene was the gingerbread and she had my personal favorite part, coming out from the huge skirt of Mother Gingerbread!
All the girls loved watching the ballet and it was even more fun looking for Lily. We were all so very proud of her and Julie. Lily has shared with us all the hard work she and her fellow dancers have been doing and it really paid off. It was a fabulous performance! Great job Lily!
